    Jeanne Parquette Wertman of Dallas, Texas formerly of Irvine, California passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas  on February 5, 2013 at the age of 94.  Jeanne was preceded in death by the love of her life husband of 63 years, Howard “Buck” Wertman and her son, Michael Everett Wertman.  Jeanne was born December 14, 1918, in Ashland, Ohio.  She graduated from Oberlin College with a degree in Physical Education.  She taught Physical Education at William and Mary College and Ohio Wesleyan University.  While she waited for Buck to return from World War II, she received her pilot’s license and assisted with troop supply   transportation within the United States.
