    Theme parks don't like to release opening dates until they're sure the new attraction will be ready for guests by that time. It would be bad form to do otherwise, really. Missing a random deadline looks bad to the public, and disappointing travelers who have based their hard-earned vacations on the opening of, oh, say, the Seven Mine Dwarfs Train, would be just dopey.
