Newport Harbor 55, El Dorado 48

Colin Pipkin scored 16 points to lead the Sailors in a fifth-place semifinal of the Godinez tournament Friday.

Joey Faris scored 11 points, Charlie Stassel added 10 points and Garrett Davis grabbed 10 rebounds for Newport Harbor (3-1), which plays against San Juan Hills Saturday at 1:45 p.m. in the fifth-place game.

Western 61, Estancia 44

Evan Pettingil scored 14 points with four three-pointers for the Eagles in the semifinals of the Los Amigos Tournament Friday.

Gunnar Johnson scored 10 points and Chad Barris added nine points.

Estancia plays Saturday in the third-place game at 5 p.m.

Fountain Valley 62, Estancia 43

Giana Guyot scored 14 points to lead the Eagles in a consolation game of the Oxford Academy tournament Saturday.

Eliza Jason added 12 points for Estancia (1-2), which plays Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Shannon Frome had five goals and two assists for the Sea Kings in Thursday’s season and Pacific Coast League opener.

Kaybree Albright and Bridgett Storm each scored three for CdM, while Eliza Britt and Jaleh Moaddeli led the defensive effort with four steals each.

CdM, ranked No. 3 in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 preseason poll, plays at Santa Margarita on Dec. 13.

Tanner Rodriguez and Kendra Munguia each had 10 points and six rebounds for the Sailors in Thursday’s CdM Tip-Off Tournament consolation game.

McKenna Izzi scored seven for the Sailors, and Teresa Hernandez had five.
