UC Irvine seniors Natalia Ledezma and Zoyah Farzaneh earned second- and third-team All-West Region honors, respectively, in women's soccer.
Ledezma, a forward who began the season as a defender, has twice been named to the second team and once more was a third-team choice. She transferred to UCI after her freshman season at UCLA.
Ledezma had six goals and one assist in 2013, and led the Anteaters with five game-winning goals.
Farzaneh, the Big West Conference Defender of the Year, doubled her career scoring output in one season by notching three goals and three assists. Two of her goals this season were game-winners and she anchored a back line that helped post six shutouts and allowed a conference-low 74 shots on goal.
UCI finished 11-7, 6-2 in the Big West, which was good enough for second place. The Anteaters lost in the semifinals of the conference tournament.
It is the fifth straight season UCI has multiple players earn All-West Region laurels.
