High School Roundup: Sage Hill boys’ basketball improves to 2-0

Sage Hill 64, Tarbut V’Torah 34

Tyler Hague and Chance Brooks led the Lightning with 12 points each in their nonleague road win Thursday.

Chance Kuehnel added 11 points for Sage Hill (2-0).

The Lightning open the Corona del Mar tournament Monday against Edison at Sage Hill, as the Lightning will play host to some of the games in the 16-team tournament.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Orange 44, Sage Hill 34

Elizabeth Alvarez and Bailey Super scored nine points each in the consolation game of the Oxford tournament.

Sage Hill dropped to 2-2.
