Breakdown: Top-seeded Corona del Mar continues its quest for its third straight CIF Southern Section Southern Division title with this quarterfinal playoff game ... This is the third straight year CdM has met Los Amigos in the CIF quarterfinals ... The Sea Kings registered a 45-7 victory in 2011 at Jim Scott Stadium and a 26-0 win last year at Bolsa Grande High ... CdM, the Pacific Coast League champion, has won a school-record 21 straight games, including seven shutout victories ... Los Amigos finished 4-1 in the Garden Grove League, good for second place behind Garden Grove, which is the No. 2 seed in the Southern Division ... Los Amigos beat Estancia, 33-12, in the first round last week and amassed 389 yards rushing, including 220 yards and a touchdown from Contreras ... Contreras has come on at running back after missing time earlier this season with a broken collarbone ... The winner of Friday’s game will play either Woodbridge or Westminster in the semifinals Nov. 29 ... A possible semifinal against Woodbridge would be a home game as CdM won the pre-flip, but a game against Westminster would be on the road.
