Pacific Coast League finals

Corona del Mar High beat out Northwood and Woodbridge to earn third place in the Pacific Coast League and advance to the CIF Southern Section Team Southern Divisional.

The Sea Kings also had Alyaa Abdulghany, Gabby Finear and Sarah Reynoso advance to the second day of the league finals on the Mesa Linda course at Costa Mesa Country Club.

Abdulghany shot even par 70 to lead the field. Finear was sixth at 84 and Reynoso was 15th at 89.

BOYS’ WATER POLO

Estancia 12, Godinez 2

SANTA ANA — Eli Sperling scored five goals for the Eagles in Wednesday’s Orange Coast League road game.

Kyle Fitzgerald scored twice for Estancia (8-12, 2-2 in league). Cobi White, Jason Chesemore, Joseph Carillo, Will Odell and Chris DeFrenza all added single goals.

John Leal made 10 saves and also led a good counterattack, Estancia Coach John Carpenter said.

Costa Mesa 20, Saddleback 2

Corbin Fisher and Raymond Andrade scored three goals each for the Mustangs in the Orange Coast League game Wednesday.

Ivan Shikhelman made nine saves and had four assists for Costa Mesa.
