Cori Haney and McKayla Carter scored two goals apiece, while Devan Ellison and Jordan Bradley each collected a pair of assists for the host Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference blowout Tuesday.

Danielle Dapello had a goal and an assist for OCC (7-6-1, 5-5 in conference), for which Samantha Sanzimier and Janna Purcell also scored.

Karsen Camarena had three saves to preserve the shutout.

Santa Ana fell to 2-8-3, 1-5-3.

UC Irvine 2, UC Santa Barbara 1

Bianca Frontino scored in the 90th minute with an assist from Kiana Palacios to give the host Anteaters the Big West Conference victory Sunday.

Palacios converted an assist from Clarissa Robles in the 48th minute to put UCI (5-7-3, 1-2-2 in conference) on top.

UCSB (8-7-2, 2-4) knotted it in the 76th minute.

Corey Tobin had one save for UCI.

MEN’S SOCCER

Vanguard 2, Westmont 0

Jesus Fregoso broke a scoreless tie in the 79th minute to help the host Lions win the Golden State Athletic Conference match Tuesday.

Fregoso cashed in an assist by Luis Valdavia and Brian Pautasso tacked on a goal in the 90th minute for Vanguard (8-6-1, 4-3-1 in conference).

Brandon Gomez had four saves to preserve the shutout.

Westmont fell to 7-4-2, 4-2-2.

Bill Cullum Invitational

SIMI VALLEY — UC Irvine junior Jacob Schulze finished 16th to help the Anteaters place fourth as a team in the 54-hole event that concluded Tuesday at Wood Ranch Golf Club.

Schulze shot two-under 214 for the tournament, one shot ahead of UCI senior Pete Fernandez (17th) as UCI’s 863 team total was 30 shots behind victorious USC.

Freshman David Kim (217) was 27th.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Vanguard def. Hope International

The host Lions won the Golden State Athletic Conference match, 20-25, 25-10, 25-9, 25-23, Tuesday, behind a balanced attack.

Sarah McKinny had nine kills one solo block and three block assists for the No. 19-ranked winners (19-9, 8-3 in conference).

Jessica Chase and Marissa Laster also had nine kills for the Lions, for whom Jessica Neves had eight.

Kelly Heenan, a Newport Harbor High product, led Vanguard with 11 digs.

HIU is 6-14, 2-8.

UC Irvine def. UC Davis

The host Anteaters posted a 28-26, 26-24, 25-16 Big West Conference sweep on Saturday night.

Cassidy Pickrell had 15 kills and 16 digs to pace the winners, who received 14 kills and 14 digs from Allison Lee.

Arden Davis had 21 digs and Shelley Anderson had 45 assists for UCI (14-7, 4-3 in conference).

UC Davis is 9-10, 4-2.
