Jasmine Nickelberry assisted both goals for the host Anteaters, who scored twice within 50 seconds to earn the Big West Conference triumph on Thursday.

Senior Natalia Ledezma opened the scoring in the 43rd minute off a corner kick.

Then, early in the 44th minute, junior Bianca Frontino scored on a breakout to allow UCI to improve to 7-5, 2-1 in conference.

Corey Tobin made two saves to preserve the shutout as the ‘Eaters posted a 16-4 advantage in shots.

Riverside fell to 5-8-1, 2-1.

DAVIS — The visiting Anteaters had a season-best 101 digs, but the Aggies prevailed, 25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12, in the Big West Conference match Thursday.

Aly Squires had 17 kills for the Anteaters (9-9, 0-4 in conference).

Shelley Anderson had 48 assists and Arden Davis led five UCI players in double figures with 28 digs.
