Sacramento State 3, UC Irvine 2 (OT)

SACRAMENTO — Jaime Phillips and Mats Bjurman scored for the Anteaters in the Big West Conference match on Thursday.

Phillips also had an assist for UCI (2-7-3, 0-2-1 in conference).

Sacramento State (4-6-1, 1-2-0) scored the equalizer in the 80th minute and then the golden goal in the 92nd minute.

Cal State Northridge 2, UC Irvine 0

NORTHRIDGE — The Anteaters dropped to 5-7-1, 1-1 in the Big West Conference on Thursday.

Cal State Northridge is 8-5-1, 1-0-1.

UCI outshot the Matadors, 15-13.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Cal Poly def. UC Irvine

Ella Rosenfeld and Victoria Dennis had seven kills each for the Anteaters, but the Mustangs won the Big West Conference match, 25-17, 25-11, 25-17, on Thursday night at Crawford Court.

UCI (7-10, 1-4 in conference) was bested at the net, 8-3, and was held to a .162 hitting percentage while the Mustangs (11-4, 3-1) hit .429 and also won the battle at the service line, 4-0.

The Anteaters play host to UC Riverside Saturday at 7 p.m. at Crawford Court.
