IRVINE — Jack Trush had four goals for the Sea Kings in Thursday’s Pacific Coast League road opener.

Brendan Hack scored three goals for CdM (6-2, 1-0 in league), and Foster Hoose and Jack Kline each scored twice. Nigel Bress made six saves.

The Sea Kings, ranked No. 4 in CIF Southern Section Division 1, play host to No. 9 Newport Harbor in the Battle of the Bay game Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Newport Harbor 13, Huntington Beach 5

The Sailors’ Jenn Kingsley and Nicole Knickerbocker each swept in singles in Thursday’s Sunset League match at home.

Kingsley and Knickerbocker each won their three sets, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1. Newport Harbor’s Annie LaGrandeur and Olivia Zehnder won twice at No. 1 singles before LaGrandeur finished off the sweep with substitute Lily Walkow.

Newport Harbor (6-4, 2-1 in league) plays at Edison on Tuesday.

GIRLS’ GOLF

Corona del Mar 200, Irvine 232

The Sea Kings’ Alyaa Abdulghany earned medalist honors with a two-under par 33 in the Pacific Coast League match Thursday at Costa Mesa Country Club’s Mesa Linda course.

Gabby Finear (36), Lauren Nakamura (39), Anastasia Predgree (45), Sarah Reynoso (47) and Sophie Song (47) also scored for CdM.

The Sea Kings (3-2 in league) play Northwood on Monday at Oak Creek Golf Club.
