IRVINE — Syndee Busby, Cori Haney and Emma Gomez scored for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference match on Tuesday.

Samantha Lombardo assisted Busby’s goal in the 25th minute and Jessica Bracken assisted Haney’s goal in the 39th minute. Gomez’s goal was unassisted in the 43rd minute for OCC (3-3-3, 2-1-2 in conference).

Goalie Odalis Elias had four save in her shutout for the Pirates.

IVC is 3-4-1, 1-2-1.

Orange Coast 4, Santiago Canyon 1

Peter Marquez scored two goals to help the Pirates answer a 1-0 deficit in their Orange Empire Conference opener Tuesday.

Marco Pineda and Isaac Campos also scored for OCC (2-4-1, 1-0-0 in conference).

Santiago Canyon is 2-4-1, 0-1-0.

UCLA 4, UC Irvine 3 (OT)

LOS ANGELES — The Bruins’ Jose Hernandez scored his second goal in the 97th minute to edge the Anteaters in the nonconference match on Sunday.

Jaime Phillips, Eduardo Calzada and Ivan Canales scored to give UCI a 3-0 lead. Canales’ goal came in the 66th minute.

UCI is 2-5-2.

UCLA is 4-4-0.
