Mckenzie Porteous recorded the lone goal in the Sailors’ opener at home on Tuesday.

Defenders Jackie Singer and Nicola Newman, as well as goalkeeper Callie Kennedy helped Newport Harbor record the shutout.

Peyton Groves and Haley Martinez played well in the midfield.

The Sailors play host to Glendora next Tuesday at 3:15 p.m.
