Breakdown: The Lightning play their first game under interim coach Tom Kirchmeyer, who is stepping in for J.R. McCord and Roth, both first-team All-Academy League honorees in 2013, are a one-two punch offensively for Sage Hill, which comes off a 5-6 season that included the school’s first CIF Southern Section playoff appearance since 2010 ... Calvary Chapel, under Coach Chris Cox, finished 7-4 and made the CIF playoffs last season, though it lost its final three games ...
