Jake Knapp, a former Estancia High golf standout, is scheduled to be in studio on the Tom & Lynn Sunday Brunch Show on KOCI radio 101.5 FM Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

Knapp, a UCLA senior who grew up in Costa Mesa, has had a grand summer. He helped lead the Bruins to the NCAA Golf Championships quarterfinals in June.

He qualified for his first U.S. Open after finishing tied for second at the U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier in Newport Beach June 8. He did not make the cut at the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash. June 19. He was among the leaders in driving distance after the first two rounds. With an average of 338.25 yards he was No. 2 in driving distance. Also, he was the only golfer to eagle No. 18 in the first two rounds.
