Will Davis II, who helped lead UC Irvine to the program’s first NCAA Division I Tournament appearance last season, has signed a contract with the Kolossos Rodou professional team in Greece.

Kolossos, located in Rhodes, Greece, competes in the first-tier Greek League.

Davis said he plans to leave for Greece next week to prepare for the season that begins in October.

Davis led UCI in scoring (12.9) and rebounding (7.1) as a senior this past season and earned Big West Conference Tournament MVP honors.

He became the first player in history to record three double-doubles in a Big West Tournament, averaging 15.0 points and 11.7 rebounds in the Anteaters’ three wins en route to UCI’s first tourney title.

An All-Big West First Team selection, Davis had 14 points and nine rebounds in the Anteaters’ 57-55 loss to three-time national champion Louisville in the NCAA Second Round.

Davis ended his UCI career as the school’s all-time leader in blocked shots (208), second in rebounds (852) and eighth in points (1,384). He had a career field-goal percentage of .548.

Davis is one of just three players in the 50-year history of the UCI program to record 1,000 points and 800 rebounds in his career.
