U.S. women’s volleyball team to scrimmage at OCC

The U.S. women’s national volleyball team will hold a scrimmage and a prematch chalk talk by Coach Karch Kiraly at Orange Coast College on Sept. 6.

The chalk talk begins at 5:30 p.m. with the scrimmage to follow at 7 p.m. There will be opportunities to obtain autographs from players past and present, and other celebrities.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for seniors, students 18-and-older and military, and $5 for juniors and kids.

All proceeds will go to fund Starlings Volleyball Clubs USA teams. Starlings is a nonprofit organization that offers girls from lower-income, ethnically diverse environments a chance to play club volleyball.

Donations of indoor volleyballs in new or good condition are also greatly appreciated at the event.
