U.S. women’s volleyball team to scrimmage at Sage Hill

Sage Hill School’s Peter Ueberroth gym, better known as, “The Uebe,” will be the site of a special U.S. women’s national volleyball team intrasquad scrimmage Friday night at 7.

Admission is a $3 donation. The Uebe has limited seating, so it is advised to arrive early.

The Red-Blue scrimmage will feature 14 athletes, who remained in California to train, while 14 national team members are at the FIVB World Grand Prix in Serbia.

The scrimmage features Irvine Valley College head man Tom Pestolesi as one of two coaches, along with UC San Diego Coach Kevin Ring. Pestolesi is also a former Estancia High coach and Newport Harbor assistant.
