Miranda Forry returns to her alma mater and will serve as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations at UC Irvine.
Forry joins the UCI staff after serving two years as the Director of Basketball Operations at Pacific. She was an assistant coach for the women's basketball team at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco from 2009-11, helping the team to a fourth-place finish in the Pacific West Conference in 2010-11.
"I'm happy to have Miranda round out our staff," head coach Doug Oliver said. "She has experience in the position and understands the job related duties. Being a former Anteater is important to our team. She will help instill the pride and tradition of this program."
Forry played four seasons for the Anteaters (2004-2008), appearing in over 100 games in her career. The guard was third on the team in scoring as a senior, shooting .340 from long range her final year which was fourth in the Big West Conference.
"I'm excited and grateful for the opportunity Coach Oliver has given me to return to my alma mater and be part of his staff," Forry noted. "I look forward to assisting him in building his vision for UCI basketball and could not be more proud to represent his program and the university as a whole."
Following her playing career, she was an assistant coach for the girls junior varsity basketball team at San Marin High School and served as head coach of the Strictly Hoops AAU team in Marin. Previously, Forry was a Camp Coach and Assistant to the Camp Director for the Tara Hoops Summer.
