The Kings Lacrosse Club, comprised of Corona del Mar High players, claimed the Cal LAX Tournament in the varsity division last weekend in San Juan Capistrano with a 5-4 overtime win against the OC Kings Purple, an Orange County All-Star team.

Jack Denning, an incoming junior at CdM, recorded the game-winning goal for the Kings.

Three future seniors — goalie Hoyt Crance, bound for Yale, Hugh Crance, bound for Notre Dame, and Brian Leguay — led the Kings on defense.

Offensively, incoming seniors Ben Palitz, Max Kline and Sherwin Gersten, and incoming junior Stephen Von Der Ahe contributed goals and assists for the Kings.

The Crance brothers and Simaan are at the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Underclassmen Games in Baltimore this weekend. They will play for the West team.
