Fight Club OC is back

Fight Club OC features seven pro boxing and mixed martial arts fights on its card Thursday night at The Hangar, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa.

Ukraine’s Alexey Zubov (3-0) is one of four undefeated fighters on the bill. Zubov will face Brent Urban from Texas (7-5) in 195-pound boxing action scheduled for six rounds, and the cruiserweight bout is the featured match of the night.

Ronny Austion of Detroit (4-0) will face Cory Muldrew of Phoenix (1-6) in a welterweight match. Austion is managed by NFL star Antonio Gates, while Muldrew is an experienced fighter who fought in Costa Mesa last June, when he lost a unanimous decision to Dwain Victorian.

UC Irvine graduate Daniel Kim (1-1) looks for his second pro win against Sopaun Rin of Chino (0-1) in a lightweight bout scheduled for four rounds. Kim got his first win last December at The Hangar, earning a unanimous decision win over Devonte Donaldson.

In the first boxing match scheduled on the card, John Ellis Jr. of Redondo Beach will face Rohit Singh of South Auckland, New Zealand in a heavyweight bout scheduled for four rounds. Ellis is 3-0, with all wins coming via knockout, while Singh has also recorded all six of his wins via knockout.

There are also three MMA bouts scheduled, all featuring fighters from Orange County. Steven Ciaccio of Irvine (2-1) faces Chris Herrera of San Clemente (2-1) in a welterweight bout, and Yoko Hamamura of Huntington Beach (2-1) will face Alex Suhonosov of Palmdale (1-2).

In another MMA bout, Curtis Millender of Fullerton (5-0) is scheduled to fight Dominic Waters of Santa Rosa (6-1).
