The championship game was the culmination of every player contributing both offensively and defensively all season long to get the team to the final game.

Some of the offensive highlights were Ethan Watson going two for three with four runs batted in, Andrew Miehe going two for three with two RBIs, Calder Overfelt going two for three with one RBI, Cole Junge with a timely two-RBI single, Van Sidebotham going two for two, Luke Rosing with a deep fly ball hit to left field, and Adam Peters with a hard-hit ball through the hole to spark a big offensive inning for the team. Dylan Henkels, Harrison Trikas and Sonny Ott also contributed with good plate appearances and were instrumental in the final outcome of the game. OC Mattress recorded 10 hits.

The defense set in and it was lights out from that point forward. Dominant pitching combined with solid defensive plays continued the momentum for OC Mattress.

Sidebotham pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and no hits allowed. This was followed by lefties Cameron Maloney and Dallas Roberts, who both came in throwing strikes and putting pressure on the Dr. Digiovanni and Dr. Cook Orthodontics hitters. Then Overfelt stepped on the mound in the fifth inning and finished the sixth to close out the game allowing no hits and zero runs in his outing.

Fundamental defense, consistent strikes, and putting a bat on the ball from the top to the bottom of the order kept the pressure on Dr. D and Dr. C Orthodontics throughout the game.

OC Mattress was coached by Eric Sidebotham, Brent Overfelt and Jeff Miehe.
