Baseball: Sage Hill pair on first team

Sage Hill School sophomore Conner Bock and senior Parker Reposa earned first-team All-Academy League accolades for lifting the baseball program to the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 6 playoffs for the first time in four years.

Bock and Reposa helped Sage Hill (15-7, 8-4 in league) place third in league and beat host Sherman Oaks Buckley, 4-2, in the first round.

Bock, a two-time first-team member, hit .456 with 29 runs batted in, three home runs, three triples and six doubles. He had a .563 on-base percentage and a .764 slugging percentage.

Bock scored 29 runs and swiped 22 of 24 bases.

Reposa, a pitcher and outfielder, went 6-2 with a 3.50 earned-run average with 33 strikeouts in 40 innings.

Reposa batted .439 with one home run, 23 RBIs, eight doubles and one triple. He finished with a .581 on-base percentage and a .666 slugging percentage.

Reposa scored 30 runs and was 18 for 20 in stolen-base attempts.

Sage Hill senior center fielder Adam Ellingson, senior third baseman Harrison Rhee and junior shortstop Kellen Ochi are second-team selections.

Sage Hill freshman pitcher Brett Super was an honorable mention.

The Academy League MVP award went to St. Margaret’s Chaz Williams.
