Dan O’Shea has been named Corona del Mar High’s new football coach, taking over for Scott Meyer, who left to coach at Servite, CdM Athletic Director Don Grable said in an email Monday.

O’Shea worked as defensive Coordinator at CdM the past four years, helping the Sea Kings win three Pacific Coast League championships, three CIF Southern Section titles, a Southern California Regional championship and a CIF State crown, while attaining an overall record of 50-6.

Prior to that time, O’Shea served as defensive coordinator at Trabuco Hills, where he helped the Mustangs win three league titles as well as having two CIF Southern Section semifinal appearances and two CIF-SS final appearances.
