BOYS’ LACROSSE

Corona del Mar 10, Bellarmine Prep 3

SAN JOSE — Senior Max Kline recorded three goals, one assist and one groundball on Tuesday, helping the visiting Sea Kings, ranked No. 2 in California by laxpower.com, improve to 9-0 on the season.

Will Favreau scored twice, while Noah Howe, Jordan Greenhall, Sherwin Gersten, Hugh Crance and Stephen Von Der Ahe each had a goal.

Chad Redfearn (five groundballs), Brett Greenlee (two) and Brian Leguay (one) led the defense.

Goalie Hoyt Crance made five saves.

The Sea Kings play at Kentfield Marin Catholic on Friday at 5 p.m.

BASEBALL

Corona del Mar 9, Laguna Hills 5

Junior Evan Larsen went three for four with two runs batted in and a double on Tuesday for the host Sea Kings, who have won each of their three games during the Beach Pit Classic.

The Sea Kings (10-5) finish tournament play at home against Hesperia Oak Hills on Wednesday at 11 a.m. They were supposed to face Villa Park in the championship game, but CdM Coach John Emme said via text that Villa Park cannot play in the game because the Panthers are in school in the morning.

Alex Shadid and Robby Hurst drove in two runs apiece for CdM.

Reliever Tommy Paoletti earned the win after striking out two and not allowing a hit in two innings.

Newport Harbor 16, Brethren Christian 1

The Sailors had 16 hits in the Beach Pit Classic consolation bracket game Tuesday at Newport Harbor High.

Dylan Kaplan was three for three with a run batted in for Newport Harbor (8-8). Josh Spicer was three for four with a double and two RBIs, while Noah Robson was two for four with two doubles and two RBIs and Shane Mitchell added a double.

Liam Ogburn allowed just one hit in three innings pitched, improving to 4-1 for the Sailors.

Newport Harbor concludes the tournament as it plays host to Lakewood on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

BOYS’ TENNIS

Sage Hill 13, Oxford Academy 5

CYPRESS — Omead Moini swept his three singles sets for Sage Hill in Tuesday’s Academy League road match.

Adam Langevin and Kenan Torlic each won twice before being subbed out for the Lightning (6-3, 3-0 in league). Will Sanderson and Gordon Strelow won twice as a doubles team.

Sage Hill, ranked No. 4 in CIF Southern Section Dvision 2, plays host to Oxford Academy on Friday.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Sage Hill def. Oxford Academy

Zach Drobenko finished with nine kills in a 25-13, 25-14, 25-21 sweep by the Lightning in an Academy League match at home on Tuesday.

Parker Warden added eight kills, three service aces and three blocks for Sage Hill (3-2 in league).
