The Anteaters saw their run of pitching dominance halted on Sunday in the finale of a three-game nonconference series at Anteater Ballpark.

UCI, which blanked the Antelopes in the first two games to extend its staff’s scoreless-innings streak to 21, saw senior starter Evan Brock roughed up for five runs on eight hits in three innings on Sunday.

Three other UCI pitchers gave up runs as Grand Canyon (11-11) banged out 15 hits and ‘Lopes starter Coley Bruns allowed just six hits in a complete-game effort to earn the win.

Connor Spencer and Jonathan Munoz both went two for four to pace the ‘Eaters.
