MANHATTAN BEACH — Cal commit Bjorn Hoffmann swept in singles for the Sea Kings in Thursday’s nonleague match at Mira Costa High.

CdM (3-2) won five singles sets and five doubles sets for the balanced win.

Newport Harbor 13, San Juan Hills 5

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO — The Sailors swept in doubles in Thursday’s nonleague match at San Juan Hills High.

Andy Myers and David Schaefer swept at No. 1 doubles, as did David Lee and Mark Schaefer at No. 2 and Ryan Young and Sam Leaman at No. 3.

Newport Harbor (4-0) plays at St. Margaret’s on Friday.

Sage Hill 13, Mater Dei 5

Adam Langevin swept his three singles sets for the Lightning in Thursday’s nonleague match at The Tennis Club of Newport Beach.

Kian Etedalie and Grant Janavs swept at No. 1 doubles, while Kenan Torlic and Ash Etadali each took two of three singles sets.

Sage Hill (1-1) hosts the eighth annual Prep Classic tournament Friday and Saturday at The Tennis Club. The field also includes Windward Academy, Oaks Christian and Crean Lutheran.

BOYS’ GOLF

Corona del Mar 183, Aliso Niguel 194

Junior Ian Fletcher earned medalist honors for the Sea Kings, shooting a two-under-par 33 Thursday at Newport Beach Country Club.

Tyler See (35), John Hong (37), Ethan Wein (39) and Bryan Hong (39) also scored for Corona del Mar (1-2).

The Sea Kings play host to San Clemente on Tuesday at NBCC.

BOYS’ SWIMMING

Orange Lutheran 114, Estancia 46

Estancia’s Chris DeFrenza, Cobi White, Kent Lim and Jason Chesemore won the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1 minute, 39.37 seconds, in Thursday’s nonleague meet.

Estancia (1-2) had no individual winners.

Corona del Mar High will play against Trabuco Hills Friday at 3 p.m. at CdM for the Newport Elks Tournament Foothill Division championship.

CdM is 4-0.
