Corona del Mar High senior center Giovanni Gentosi will be a preferred walk-on player with the UCLA football team and senior linebacker Alex Moore a preferred walk-on player at USC, Sea Kings Coach Scott Meyer said.

Gentosi anchored CdM's perfect 16-0 season which included a Pacific Coast League title, a CIF Southern Section Southern Division title, and the school's first CIF State Division III Bowl Game title.

Gentosi went 40-4 during his three years as a CdM starter. He won his final 26 games, helping the Sea Kings own the state's current longest winning streak.
