Orange Coast College sophomore Devaun Evans, who led the Pirates in scoring (16.3 per game) and rebounding (5.7 per contest) has been named first-team All-Orange Empire Conference in men's basketball.

Evans, a 6-foot-4 forward, led OCC in minutes played (23.4 per game). He played in 23 games, starting 17.

Brad Buchignani, a 6-1 freshman guard who averaged 12.6 points and 19.2 minutes per game, represented the Pirates on the second team. He played in all 29 games and started 19.

OCC finished 9-20, 3-9 in conference play.

Saddleback sophomore Eric Thompson was named Conference Player of the Year and Saddleback's Andy Ground shared Coach of the Year laurels with Santa Ana head man Dave Breig.

Santa Ana and Saddleback tied for the conference crown.
