CdM boys’ basketball CIF-SS title game late Friday night

The No. 2-seeded Corona del Mar High boys’ basketball team will take on top-seeded Beverly Hills for the CIF Southern Section Division 3A championship Friday at 9 p.m. at Azusa Pacific University’s Felix Event Center.

CdM (24-6) beat Hemet Tahquitz, 57-50, in a semifinal on Friday, while Beverly Hills (25-4) defeated Esperanza, 54-49, in its semifinal.

The Sea Kings, who are on a 15-game winning streak, will make their 10th section finals appearance in the program’s history, and first since the 2006-07 season.

Beverly Hills went undefeated in the Ocean League. CdM went undefeated in the Pacific Coast League.

General admission for the game is $13 and $7 for students with I.D. Parking is free.

The APU Felix Event Center is located at 701 East Foothill Boulevard in Azusa.

Tickets will be available at CdM on Wednesday or at https://www.apu.edu/tickets, starting Tuesday.
