The Toshiba Classic Scholarship Fund has named its dozen finalists for the two $10,000 scholarships it will award this year during the 20th edition of the Toshiba Classic.

The two winners will be presented with a scholarship by Mark Simons, the president and CEO of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., during the Toshiba Classic's Breakfast with a Champion event at the Balboa Bay Resort on March 11. The breakfast's keynote speaker is Colin Montgomerie, a World Golf Hall of Famer.

The finalists for the Toshiba Classic Scholarship Fund are Estancia's Emily Flores, Costa Mesa's Kimberly Hedges, University's Jessica Huang, Northwood's Rui Jing Jiang, Woodbridge's Dimitri Kaviani, Irvine's Malak Kudaimi, Trabuco Hills' Pranay Kumar, Corona del Mar's Victoria Martinez, El Toro's Jon Marron, Newport Harbor's Kiana Panbechi, Mission Viejo's Deanna Tayag, and Laguna Hills' Jeffrey Zoch. Each of the dozen finalists will receive a Toshiba laptop.

"As a company, Toshiba values the achievements of young adults through academics, and the Toshiba Classic is the ideal platform to recognize the outstanding work of these students," Simons said in a press release. "During the past 15 years, we have had the opportunity to meet some of the brightest students in Orange County, not only do they excel in the classroom, but their commitment to servicing the community is astounding. These 12 finalists embody the mission we set forth when we started the scholarship program."
