Buckley steps up in win

Senior forward Camille Buckley finished with 27 points and 15 rebounds during the Anteaters’ Big West Conference game at home on Thursday.

UCI improved to 10-10, exceeding last season’s nine-game win total.

Buckley, who produced her eighth double-double of the season, made seven of 12 shots and 13 of 15 free throws.

Lauren Spinazze recorded career high in points (12) and rebounds (nine) for the Anteaters.

UCI’s Methlyn Onogomuho had 11 points and eight rebounds.

The Anteaters play host to conference leader Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on Saturday at 2 p.m.
