Wildcats defeat Peels

The Wildcats, with only five players, defeated the Orange Peels, 52-44, in a Newport-Mesa National Junior Basketball game in the third- and fourth-grade level last weekend.

The Wildcats’ five players were Peter Bonin, Rod Oskuian, Dylan Nguyenhuu, Jack Ressler and Jordan Stucki.

Stucki finished with a game-high 26 points, to go with six rebounds and two blocks. Ressler added 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Wildcats (4-4).

Oskuian had a career-high 13 rebounds and four steals. Bonin chipped in a season-high seven points and two steals, while Nguyenhuu played an excellent all-around game.

Jason Plumb led the Peels with 22 points and eight rebounds.

AJ Plumb added 12 points and six rebounds for the Peels.
