BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Corona del Mar 58, Northwood 42

IRVINE — Junior guard Sam Kobrine had 14 points for the Sea Kings in Friday night’s Pacific Coast League game at Northwood High.

Matt Ctvrtlik scored 13 for CdM (15-6, 5-0 in league), which stayed alone in first place halfway through league. Northwood is 3-2 in league.

Ryan Moss added 10 points for CdM, which plays host to Irvine on Thursday.

Sage Hill 62, Oxford Academy 45

Tyler Hague scored 16 points for the Lightning in Friday’s Academy League game at Sage Hill.

Chance Kuehnel had 14 points and Krishan Tarsadia scored 12 for Sage Hill (13-5, 4-2 in league), which plays host to rival St. Margaret’s on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Edison 72, Newport Harbor 56

Charlie Stassel scored 11 points for the Sailors in Friday’s Sunset League game at Newport Harbor High.

Colin Pipkin and Joey Faris each scored 10 for Newport Harbor (9-13, 2-2 in league), which plays host to Fountain Valley on Wednesday.

Godinez 67, Estancia 32

SANTA ANA — Gunnar Johnston scored 13 points for the Eagles in Friday’s Orange Coast League game at Godinez High.

Evan Pettingill added six points for Estancia (7-12, 1-3 in league), which plays host to Saddleback on Wednesday.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Corona del Mar 54, Northwood 45

IRVINE — Junior forward Natalia Bruening had 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Sea Kings in Friday night’s Pacific Coast League game at Northwood High.

Senior guard Brianna Westrup had 11 points and five steals for CdM (13-7, 3-2 in league). Junior center Krista Anderson chipped in 10 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks, while senior forward Maria King had seven points and eight rebounds.

CdM plays at Estancia in a nonleague game Saturday at 6 p.m.

Sage Hill 49, Oxford Academy 38

Kenna Knollenberg scored 20 points for the Lightning in Friday’s Academy League game.

Kate Knollenberg added 10 for Sage Hill (10-10, 3-3 in league), and Bailey Super scored seven.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Sage Hill 6, Oxford Academy 0

Lexi Magliarditi had three goals and two assists for the Lightning in Friday’s Academy League game at Sage Hill.

Magliarditi has 18 goals this season for Sage, second in Orange County.

Claire Novotny, Paige Burke and Maya Roston also scored for the first-place Lightning (9-4-2, 5-0 in league), who play host to rival St. Margaret’s on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
