IRVINE — Senior center Marina Coskinas scored three goals in Thursday’s Pacific Coast League game on the road.

Jaleh Moaddeli and Bridgett Storm each scored twice for the Sea Kings (8-2, 3-0 in league). Grace Morgan had two assists, Bobbi Hoose had two steals and Heidi Ritner made seven saves.

CdM, ranked No. 3 in CIF Southern Section Division 1, plays at the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions beginning Friday. CdM opens the tournament against Dos Pueblos at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Dos Pueblos High.

LAGUNA BEACH — Junior striker Alondra Guzman scored a first-half goal and Samantha Falasco converted a penalty kick in the second half, helping the Eagles improve to 2-0 in Orange Coast League play.

Emily Rordriguez set Falasco’s PK up after she got fouled in the box.

Estancia goalkeeper Caitlin Leahy made six saves

The Eagles, who are 6-4-3 overall, play host to Godinez on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

IRVINE — The host Trojans scored twice in the last five minutes of Thursday’s Pacific Coast League match, handing the three-time defending league champion Sea Kings just their second league loss in three years.

Senior goalie Kendall Mulvaney made five saves for CdM (6-4-3, 2-1 in league).

The Sea Kings, tied for No. 10 in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 poll, play host to Beckman on Tuesday. Coach Bryan Middleton said the game has been moved to Jim Scott Stadium, at 7 p.m.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Fountain Valley 49, Newport Harbor 43

Junior center Kendra Munguia finished with 13 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks for the Sailors in a Sunset League home game on Thursday.

Jennifer Lopez produced 14 points, nine rebounds and six steals for Newport Harbor (7-9, 0-3 in league).

Bela Raimondi had eight points and four steals.

The Sailors play host to Los Alamitos on Monday at 6 p.m.

WRESTLING

Newport Harbor 47, Segerstrom 21

SANTA ANA — Nine Sailors won matches during the Sailors’ nonleague dual meet on the road Thursday.

Newport Harbor’s winners were Dominic Kosecki (113 pounds), Dominic Komadina (126), Erik Herrera (132), Juan Perez (138), Andrew Craft (145), Evan Perez (152), James Pilz (160), Brett Beaudette (182) and David Santos (195).

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Brethren Christian 62, Sage Hill 38

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Junior forward Tyler Hague finished with 15 points for the Lightning in an Academy League contest on the road Thursday.

Krishan Tarasadia had eight points for Sage Hill (11-5, 3-1 in league).

Brethren Christian remained undefeated in league.

Sage Hill plays host to Crean Lutheran on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
