Corona del Mar 64, Woodbridge 63

IRVINE — Senior guard Blake Flamson finished with 22 points and Bo St. Geme hit two clutch free throws down the stretch on Tuesday, helping the Sea Kings improve to 2-0 in Pacific Coast League play.

Corona del Mar, which is 12-4 overall and ranked No. 4 in the CIF Southern Section Division 3AA poll, plays at University on Friday at 7 p.m.

St. Geme, Kevin Fults and Jeff Johnston had nine points apiece.

Sage Hill 43, Whitney 39

Krishan Tarsadia and Eric Zheng scored 11 points each for the Lightning in the Academy League game Tuesday.

Sage Hill is 11-4, 3-0 in league.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Woodbridge 48, Corona del Mar 37

IRVINE – Sophomore forward Natalia Bruening led the Sea Kings with 20 points and 12 rebounds in a Pacific Coast League game on the road on Tuesday.

Keaton Gaughan finished with four points and steals, and Kate Thompson added three points and four steals.

Corona del Mar (12-5, 1-1 in league) is at University on Friday at 5:30 p.m.

Edison 53, Newport Harbor 29

Jennifer Lopez and McKenna Izzi scored nine points each for the host Sailors in the Sunset League game Tuesday.

Lopez also had nine rebounds, four steals and three blocks for Newport Harbor.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Corona del Mar 2, Woodbridge 0

IRVINE — Leah Givant provided two assists for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League match Tuesday.

Sabrina Roy and Miranda Stiver scored for Corona del Mar (6-3-3, 2-0 in league).

Sea Kings goalie Kendall Mulvaney had three saves and recorded her eighth shutout of the season.

Edison 3, Newport Harbor 2

Jessi Prather produced a goal and an assist for the Sailors in the Sunset League match Tuesday.

Toni Holland also scored for Newport Harbor.

Sage Hill 6, Whitney 0

CERRITOS — Allie Mowrey, Meg Crade, Janis Jin, Claire Novotny, Paige Burke and Rachael Jaffe all scored for the Lightning in Tuesday’s Academy League game on the road.

Lauren Thunen had three assists for Sage Hill (7-4-2, 3-0 in league), which plays at Crean Lutheran at noon Saturday in a first-place showdown. Crean Lutheran is ranked No. 3 in CIF Southern Section Division 5.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Estancia 2, Bolsa Grande 0

Andy Ceja and Miguel Espinoza scored for the Eagles in the nonleague game Monday at Jim Scott Stadium.

Kevin Pizarro provided the assist on Ceja’s goal in the 15th minute.

Seaver Sanchez assisted on Espinoza’s goal in the 60th minute.

Goalie Enrique Valle made five saves for Estancia (7-3-2).

GIRLS’ WATER POLO

Corona del Mar 20, Woodbridge 5

Eliza Britt and Maddie Musselman each scored five goals for the Sea Kings in Tuesday’s Pacific Coast League game.

Sami Pratt and Shannon Frome had two goals each for the Sea Kings (7-2, 2-0 in league), while Annie Mortimer and Grace Morgan each tallied three assists.

CdM, ranked No. 3 in CIF Southern Section Division 1, plays at University on Thursday.
