Corona del Mar High senior center Giovanni Gentosi was named the Pacific Coast League MVP as he anchored the Sea Kings’ most successful football season in school history.

Gentosi, one of 11 Sea Kings receiving first-team recognition, paved the way to CdM’s 16-0 perfect season and it becoming the first high school football team to accomplish the feat in California.

The Sea Kings claimed their second straight undefeated league title and third straight CIF Southern Section Southern Division title, before they won the CIF State Southern California Regional Division III Bowl Game and CIF State Division III Bowl Game for the first time.
