SANTA ANA — Daniel Azurin had a team-high 15 points for the Mustangs in the Century Tournament pool-play game Wednesday at Century High.

Noah JeyaRajah and Wyatt Ferris added eight points each for Costa Mesa, which played without leading scorers Sean Comer (hip) and Kyle Hefner (ankle).

The Mustangs (3-8) play Glendora in another pool-play game at 6 p.m. Thursday at Century High.

GARDEN GROVE — Eagles junior forward Michelle Simmons scored a career-high 22 points Wednesday in the Garden Grove tournament pool-play game.

Celia Duran added 17 points for Estancia (6-5), which continues pool-play action against Valley Christian at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Garden Grove High.

COSTA MESA — Senior Molly Settles led the host Mustangs with eight points in the opening round of the Costa Mesa Winter Classic on Wednesday.

The Mustangs are 8-4.
