Reed Williams earns All-Far West Regional honors in soccer

Reed Williams, a former Corona del Mar High soccer star who was a junior forward at UCLA in 2012, has been named to the All-Far West Regional team by the National Soccer Coaches’ Assn. of America.

Williams, who earned first-team All-Pac 12 honors after sharing the team lead with seven goals, also had four assists. He started 17 of the Bruins’ 19 games.

As a senior at CdM in 2009-10, he amassed 32 goals and 12 assists to help the Sea Kings win the CIF Southern Section Division IV and CIF Southern California Division II Regional championships and finish 27-1-1 with the No. 2 national ranking from ESPN Rise. He was also named Gatorade State Player of they Year.
