NEWPORT BEACH — Seniors Alberto Ramirez (138 pounds) and Larson Harley (152), as well as junior Roberto Rivera (220) won by pin and junior Ryan Taormina (145) won the final match, 9-5, to allow the host Sailors to clinch the nonleague dual meet Wednesday.

The win avenged the only loss for the Sailors (6-1).

Rivera's pin came in 45 seconds.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Keaton Gaughan had nine points and Aubrie Rhines chipped in eight points and eight rebounds for the Sea Kings in the consolation quarterfinals of the Ocean View Tournament on Wednesday at Ocean View High.

Kelly Tam had eight points and three steals and Katie Scott had eight points, including two three-pointers, for CdM (3-4).

CdM meets Oxford Academy in a consolation semifinal on Friday at 4 p.m.

NEWPORT COAST — Senior forward Maggie Danner had 19 points and seven rebounds for the host Lightning in Wednesday's nonleague game.

Sophomore guard Bailey Super added five points, eight rebounds and six assists for Sage Hill (2-3), which plays host to Tarbut V'Torah at 5 p.m. Thursday.
