ORANGE — Ellie Nadal hit the game-winning three-pointer with 10 seconds left to lead the Sea Kings into the title game of the Orange Tournament Friday.

Saylor Schroff scored 13 points, Karleh Wilson added 11 points and Nadal had nine points for CdM (6-1).

The Sea Kings will face Katella in the title game today at 4:30 p.m. at Orange High.

Whitney 53, Sage Hill 39

ANAHEIM — Ava Soleimany scored 22 points for the Lightning in the final game of pool play in the Husky Classic at Fairmont Prep Friday.

Sarah Derheim had 10 points and Zoe Kreitenberg grabbed 18 rebounds for Sage Hill (4-1), which will play against Savanna in a consolation game today at 1 p.m.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Corona del Mar 2, Central 0

SANTA BARBARA — Conor Roche and Brian Ford scored a goal each for the Sea Kings against the school from Fresno to open the Soccer Town High School Showcase Friday.

Reed Wolonsky assisted on Roche’s goal and Nick Curci assisted on Ford’s goal. Goalie Connor Gaal had three saves for CdM (5-0-1), ranked No. 2 in the nation by ESPN Rise.

Sage Hill 2, Fairmont Prep 0ANAHEIM – Colton Gyulay and Dylan Thies scored a goal each for the Lightning in the nonleague game Friday.

Sage Hill, which overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit, improved to 2-2-1.

SAN DIEGO — Goalkeeper Lindsey Luke had two saves for the Sea Kings in a pool-play game of the Butch Lee Memorial tournament at Cathedral Catholic Friday.

CdM Coach Bryan Middleton was impressed with his team’s effort, as Santa Margarita is ranked No. 3 in the nation by ESPN Rise. Santa Margarita is ranked No. 4 in CIF Southern Section Division I, while CdM (2-0-1) is tied for No. 10 in Division I.

The Sea Kings face Cathedral Catholic today at 10 a.m. to end pool play.

Sage Hill 2, Costa Mesa 2
NEWPORT COAST — The Mustangs scored the game-tying goal with two minutes left on an own goal in the nonleague game Friday.
Sami Feinstein’s shot bounced off a Sage defender for the equalizer to help Costa Mesa (1-2-1) overcome a 2-0 deficit.
Maddie Culberson and Noosha Deravi scored in the first half for Sage Hill (2-2-1). Hunter Strodel also scored a goal for the Mustangs. Rannah Dabiri had an assist and goalie Paige Krueger made five saves for the Lightning.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Estancia 49, La Mirada 44

PICO RIVERA — Davon Joyner had 20 points for the Eagles in a consolation game at the El Rancho Pride Classic on Friday night.

Ray Holmes contributed 14 points for Estancia (4-4), which plays Sunny Hills for fifth place today at 4:30 p.m.

Don Bosco Tech 59, Costa Mesa 52

LONG BEACH — Andrew Albers had 18 points and nine rebounds to lead the Mustangs against the school from Rosemead in the pool-play game of the St. Anthony’s tournament Friday.

Marcus Hayes had 11 points and Saaeed El-Assadi had nine points for Costa Mesa (2-5), which will face New Roads of Santa Monica for seventh place today at 3 p.m.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Estancia 1, Villa Park 1

IRVINE — Sophomore forward Isela Garcia scored the Eagles’ lone goal in the opening pool-play game at the Irvine Tournament on Friday.

Heather Flores had the assist.

Estancia (2-0-1) returns to pool-play action today with games against Capistrano Valley at 11:30 a.m. and Rim of the World at 7 p.m.
