IRVINE — Former Anteater Justin Johnson scored 23 points to lead the Eagles in the exhibition game Friday at the Bren Events Center.
Eric Wise had 22 points and 11 reboudns to pace UCI, which received 15 points from Darren Moore.
It’s the second straight season the NAIA school has topped UCI in an exhibition game.

UC Irvine 78, Redlands 55
IRVINE — Jacquelyn Marshall and Jazmyne White had 20 points and six steals each to lead the Anteaters in the exhibition game Friday.
Jade Smith-Williams added 16 points and seven assists. White led UCI with eight rebounds and Marshall had seven.

UC Irvine 8, UC San Diego 7
LA JOLLA — Doug Lindsey scored two goals for the No. 5-ranked Anteaters in the nonconference match Friday.
Sophomore Nick Pfeil scored his lone goal with 3:57 left that proved to be the game-winner for UCI (15-5).
Senior Matt Johnson had seven saves for the Anteaters.
UC San Diego, ranked No. 12, is 11-11.

Orange Empire Conference tournament
MISSION VIEJO — Orange Coast College lost, 11-4, to Riverside in a semifinal Friday at Saddleback.
The Pirates will play against Fullerton in a third-place game today at 11:30 a.m.
Brittany Daniels scored three goals to lead OCC to a 14-6 quarterfinal win over Saddleback earlier in the day.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Freshmen Maddie Baird and Katherine Wichner had 12 kills each to lead the Pirates to a 25-13, 25-8, 25-10 Orange Empire Conference win Friday.
Sophomore Kimya Jafroudi had 27 assists. Katie Bergen, Wichner and Baird recorded 13 digs each for OCC (12-5, 7-4 in conference).

COSTA MESA — The Pirates have now gone three straight games without a goal after the Orange Empire Conference match Friday.
OCC is 3-10-6, 1-6-5 in conference.
