Corona del Mar High's Kai Wilson (22) battles for yardage against Beckman's Marcus Volpe (18) and Ryan Haughton (40). (KEVIN CHANG, Daily Pilot / November 2, 2012)

This week St. Geme led all receivers with seven catches for 108 yards. The previous week it was Reese hauling in seven passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns.

"We're still trying to stay balanced," said Meyer, who saw senior tailback Kai Wilson rush seven times for 128 yards, all coming in the first half. "We spread it out a little bit tonight."

Meyer said Carter wanted to keep playing after halftime. But Meyer said there was no need to risk an injury.

Carter will get his chance in the postseason to produce. He did more than enough against Beckman, helping the Sea Kings cap a perfect league title, their first in school history.
