NEWPORT BEACH — Seniors Megan Bathen and Kaitlyn Cosenza swept at love at No. 1 doubles for the Sailors in the Sunset League match Thursday.

Senior McKenna Johnson swept at No. 2 singles, only dropping two games, while seniors Lexy DiSantis and Kelsey Christiansen swept at No. 2 doubles, losing only two games for Newport Harbor (11-4, 6-1 in league).

Corona del Mar 13, Beckman 5

IRVINE — Olivia Dajee swept at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 7-6, 6-0 for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League match Thursday.

CdM (9-3, 4-1 in league) swept all nine doubles sets, dropping just 15 games. The doubles teams of Siena Sharf and Sophia Chen (6-0, 6-1, 6-0); Taylor Fogarty and Kimmia Naaseh (6-2, 6-4, 6-2); and Kenzie Purcifull and Riley Gerdau (6-1, 6-3, 6-2) all swept.

The Sea Kings play at University on Tuesday.

NEWPORT BEACH — Junior outside hitter Carolyn Bockrath had 20 kills and senior Torey Thompson amassed 58 assists to lead the host Sailors to the 19-25, 18-25, 25-19, 25-19, 15-11 Sunset League triumph Thursday.

Senior libero Hunter Jennings had 22 digs for the winners (13-5, 3-0 in league), for whom senior middle blocker Mary Lyon added 12 kills.

IRVINE — Logan Piper scored three goals for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Thursday.

Jake Wyatt, Armen Mavusi, Kyle Rodewald and Danny Marshall added two goals each for CdM (7-3, 3-0 in league). Goalies Patrick McKenzie (five saves, three steals), Nigel Bress (three saves) and Ryan Hamm (one save) anchored the Sea Kings’ defense.

COSTA MESA — Freshman Amy Matsuoka shot one-under-par 34 to lead the host Mustangs in the Pacific Coast League match at Costa Mesa Country Club on Thursday.

Karlie Moses (40) and Emily Turner (41) also stood out for CdM (4-7, 3-5 in league), which plays host to Woodbridge on Tuesday at Newport Beach Country Club.

Pacific Coast League Cluster Meet

ORANGE — Teddy Parks finished second in 15 minutes, 39 seconds to help Corona del Mar take third with 49 points at Irvine Regional Park Thursday.

Northwood and Woodbridge tied with 48 points.

Tanner Love (sixth in 16:07), Ethan Hold (10th in 16:21), Spencer Keith (12th in 16:23) and Matt Paragas (19th in 16:47) also competed for the Sea Kings.

GIRLS’ CROSS COUNTRY

Pacific Coast League Cluster Meet

ORANGE — Kirsten Hansen finished 11th in 18 minutes, 52 seconds to lead Corona del Mar, which was third with 80 points at Irvine Regional Park Thursday.

Northwood won with 37 points and Woodbridge was second with 41.

Hannah Crane (14th in 19:07), Shelby Perez (17th in 19:20), Elin Wolker (18th in 19:22) and Darcie Marshall (20th in 19:31) also competed for the Sea Kings.
