Water Polo: CdM clinics on tap

Corona del Mar Aquatics is having two water polo clinics at CdM High this month, the first from Tuesday through Thursday and the second from Aug. 20 to 22.

The clinics are open to boys and girls of all ages and experiences. Each session is $100 per participant and $150 per participant for both sessions.

The session beginning Tuesday is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The second session is from 4 to 7 p.m.

Beginners will focus on the basic skills and how to play water polo. Experienced players will focus on offensive and defensive position skills. Participants are expected to bring a swimsuit, goggles, water and a towel.

Ross Sinclair, the CdM girls’ coach, will instruct, as well as national team members Tommy Corcoran (men), Kelly Rulon (women), and Leah Robertson, a former member of the U.S. women’s team.
