Matches feature 11 locals

The 34th annual Dave Mohs Memorial Orange County High School Volleyball All-Star matches feature 11 local players and Corona del Mar High Coach Steve Conti.

The matches will be Friday at Newport Harbor High, with the girls’ match starting at 6 p.m. and the boys’ match to follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The Boys’ North team includes Newport Harbor’s Cody Caldwell (Loyola University Chicago), Ian Sequeira (UCLA) and Rusty Sary (Orange Coast College).

The Boys’ South team, coached by Conti, includes Corona del Mar’s Evan Dean (Pepperdine), Spencer Haly (Stanford), Nick Curci (UC Santa Barbara) and Brennan Anderson (Ohio State). The CdM quartet recently led the Sea Kings to their first CIF Southern California Regional Division II title, as well as a CIF Southern Section Division II championship.

The Girls’ North team includes Newport Harbor’s Lauren Demos (UC San Diego) and Maddy Brown (SMU).

The Girls’ South team includes Corona del Mar’s Morgan Boukather (Stanford) and Hailey Senske.
