Three local high school boys’ volleyball programs — Corona del Mar, Newport Harbor and Sage Hill — are each on the road Thursday in their respective CIF Southern Section second-round playoff matches.

Coin flips on Wednesday determined they each travel after they played host to first-round matches on Tuesday.

In Division 1 action, CdM (19-10) plays at St. John Bosco (23-9), and Newport Harbor (22-8) is at third-seeded San Clemente (30-2). Both matches start at 7 p.m.

Sage Hill (10-10) is at Yucaipa (21-4) in a Division 4 match at 7 p.m.

The Sea Kings, the Pacific Coast League champions, haven’t faced St. John Bosco, the Trinity League champ, this season. In the final Division 1 poll, CdM was ranked ninth and St. John Bosco seventh.

The Sailors, the Sunset League runner-up, meet San Clemente, which shared the South Coast League title, for the first time this season.

Sage Hill, the Academy League’s second-place team, squares off with Yucaipa, the Citrus Belt League champion.
