LONG BEACH — Estancia High’s Jake Knapp earned medalist honors by shooting three-under-par 69 on Monday to help the Eagles win the nine-team event at El Dorado Golf Course.

Courtland Lee (75) also stood out for the Eagles, whose 318 team score was five shots better than Huntington Beach.

DANA POINT — Brad Tapfer shot one-over-par 37 to earn medalist honors for the visiting Sailors in the nonleague match at Monarch Beach Golf Links on Monday.

CORONA DEL MAR — Senior Hunter Molnar had five goals and junior Jack Ortlieb added four to lead the host Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Monday.

Juniors Casey Mix and Todd Kitzens had two goals apiece, while junior Brett Nelson and senior Connor Canale chipped in two assists each for the winners (7-0, 5-0 in league).

Senior Taylor Epp won eight of nine face-offs for CdM.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

Corona del Mar 21, Woodbridge 7

IRVINE — Sophomore midfielder Kacie Kline had eight goals and two assists and senior Gabby Smith added five goals and two assists for the visiting Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Monday at South Lake Middle School.

Senior Ally Brahs forced two turnovers and had five ground balls for the winners (7-2, 4-0 in league).

SOFTBALL

Savanna Tournament

ANAHEIM — Newport Harbor won two games Saturday at Yorba Regional Park to advance to the touranment semifinals, set for Saturday against El Segundo.

The Sailors (9-0) beat Savanna, 10-5, in their first game Saturday, then topped Pomona Catholic, 3-1.

Junior Hattie Marshall earned both pitching victories and is 9-0. She also went four for six at the plate.

Junior Breanna Lopez hit two home runs in the Savanna game and had four combined runs batted in in the two wins.

Freshman Zoey Meyers was four for six with four RBIs in the two games.
