Girls’ Water Polo: Quartet to play in all-star game Sunday

Corona del Mar High seniors Cassidy Papa, Stephania Haralabidis and Ioanna Haralabidis, as well as Costa Mesa senior Aubry Hill, will be playing in the Orange County Girls’ Water Polo All-Star Game on Sunday.

The game is at 3 p.m. at Yorba Linda High. The local players will be on the South squad, coached by Santa Margarita Coach Kevin Ricks, who led the Eagles to this year’s CIF Southern Section Division 2 title.

The Stanford-bound Papa and the USC-bound Haralabidis twins helped CdM capture its first Division 1 title Feb. 23. The Sea Kings edged rival Newport Harbor, 6-5, at Irvine’s Woollett Aquatics Center.

Hill, a defender for the Mustangs, helped Costa Mesa finish second in the Orange Coast League and return to the Division 1 playoffs.
