HAWTHORNE — Freshman center Krista Anderson finished with 14 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in the Sea Kings’ CIF Southern Section Division 3AA first-round playoff game on Thursday.

CdM (10-17) has won consecutive opening-round playoff games for the first time in Mark Decker’s seven seasons as coach.

The Sea Kings play the winner of Jurupa Valley-Esperanza in the second round on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Natalia Bruening had 14 points and 10 rebounds for CdM.

Maria King contributed 11 points and Keaton Gaughan had nine.

LOS ANGELES — Molly Settles had 11 points for the Mustangs in the CIF Southern Section Division 4AA first-round game Thursday night.

Windward, the Alpha League champion, is the top seed in Division 4AA.

Costa Mesa finishes its season 15-13.

AGBU 46, Sage Hill 33

PASADENA — Maggie Danner had 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Lightning, who were eliminated from the CIF Southern Section Division 5A playoffs after losing the wild-card game Thursday night.

Sage Hill, an at-large entry that was fourth in the Academy League, finishes the season at 8-12.

Armenian General Benevolent Union improved to 7-8-1.

BLOOMINGTON — Sophomore goalie Kekai Whitford made 14 saves for the Lightning in the CIF Southern Section Division 5 first-round match Thursday at Bloomington High.

Sage Hill, which finished third in the Academy League and won Tuesday’s wild-card match at Riverside Norte Vista on penalty kicks, finishes its season 14-8-3.

Bloomington, the Sunkist League champion, is the No. 3 seed in Division 5.
